Hey guys! It has been ages since I have posted. I'm so sorry! I have had 9 weeks tests, books to read, essays to finish, ridiculous projects, etc., but FINALLY it is SPRING BREAK!!! I have been relaxing all week doing nothing pretty much except a little bit of exercising because I am trying to get back in shape. Happiness was overflow, but no, my beautiful samsung galaxy s3 died out on me just a couple of hours after I reorganized and cleaned my phone out.... (T.T) Just trying to be happy to be free of school, but I have to get started on my Model U.N. poster =.=" uggg. Anyways as usual my K-drama talk for you guys. So in the time that I have been absent I have watched 2 K-dramas both great in really different ways the first one was The Great Doctor and the second one was Shut Up and Let's Go.Okay these two dramas are in completely different sides of the k-drama spectrum, but I can not tell you how much I love them!
The Great Doctor is about a 21st century doctor being taken by a Joseon dynasty warrior who transcended space and time to get a doctor to save the queen. Amidst of the multiple kidnappings Eun Soo, the "heavenly" doctor, and Choi Young, the brave warrior who has to deal with constant problems from the king, Eun Soo, society, and sometimes his fellow Woodalchi, Choi Young and Eun Soo fall in love. As for the rest you will have to watch to find out!
This K-drama portrays the fact that love can transcend time and last forever, and that the people that you have should never be taken for granted.
On the other hand Shut Up and Let's Go is a not as couple based love as it is friendship based love, kind of like Frozen. It also similarly surprised me. This group of "hoodlums" care for each other as much as if not more than their own family, and their band "Eye Candy" grows more and more successful. All of the members are transferred to a rich school due to their rag tag school being torn down. These friends all heavily rely on their leader Byung Hee, who becomes obsessed with finding his muse. He one day he claims a girl he meets in a music store to be his muse, and discovers that his muse will be at the school they will all transfer to. Elated, Byung Hee treats his muse like a princess with everyone else in the school treating them like dirt. One day Byung Hee is called out by a classmate in the rival group claiming he will give Byung Hee a free new set of drums for his band if he came out alone one night. Byung Hee is hit on the head with a metal baseball bat by the classmate, and then when his friends find him is run over by a truck. These friends are at a total loss, but some how they get a contract with a big company due to Byung Hee's last song and last wish for them. But how does it all end? Watch it and figure it out!
This drama shows that its not about the fame or the fortune, it is about the friends you have and how you cherish them, how you cherish each moment, but also cherishing who you are individually.
I LOVE both of these dramas! I give The Great Doctor a 9 out of ten only because it was a little stereotypical k-drama, but I give Shut Up and Let's Go a 10 out of ten. Both of these dramas convey wonderful messages and are extremely fun to watch! So do do watch them ^^
P.S. I am sorry this post is so long
P.P.S. How have you guys been?
